- At the beginning of 2024 I was faced with a huge problem. I had a home to liquidate that had been lived in for over 100 years by my grandparents and then my parents. They were from the generation, I suppose, when people never disposed of anything. The task in front of me was overwhelming. In March I contacted three different estate sales companies in Kerrville and never received callbacks. Finally in mid-April, from an antique dealer in Fredericksburg, I was directed to Jay Loving, owner of Silver Star Liquidators, LLC. Mr. Loving, who I now refer to as Jay, returned my call within about 10 minutes and made a trip out to the home within a few days. From the initial phone conversation and after the first meeting I knew I had found someone who could help me. Jay, his wife Cynthia, and everyone who worked with them to prepare for the sale and during the sale were such nice people. - Well, I am certainly a big fan of Silver Star Liquidators. As I prepared to sell my home and move back to Wisconsin, there was more stuff than I had room to take with me. I had never done an estate sale, tag sale or auction of any sort. So, with a bit of Google and some luck, I found you. What impressed me was the professionalism, the efficiency and the compassion that you both showed. From the first visit, you guys felt downright neighborly. The whole process was both seamless and painless. I had a list of stuff. You came and photographed and tagged it. The online auction went for two weeks and was nicely marketed on your website. About 6 days before the end of the auction, you held a viewing for folks who wanted to check out the items for sale. The viewing was only open for 4 hours, so it was no intrusion whatsoever. Then, the auction ended and people picked up their purchases during another 4 hour window. You were there for everything and kept an eye on all the other stuff that wasn’t for sale. Of course, the big surprise was the result. Everything sold! You gave me an itemized list of the final bids and a very nice check. Jay and Cynthia, I can’t thank you enough.
